To keep the price low, this service does not include loading/unloading by our driver. You will need to arrange your own help at both ends to lift your items in and out of the van. LA MOVES
Terms and Conditions of Service
These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by LA Moves. By accepting a quotation, booking a service, or paying a deposit, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.
1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only once a deposit has been received by LA Moves.
Quotes provided are based on the information supplied by the customer at the time of enquiry.
The remaining balance for services provided is payable upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Quotations
All quotations are based on the details provided by the customer, including:
• The volume and type of items to be moved
• Access conditions at the collection and delivery locations
• Estimated time required to complete the move
If the information provided is inaccurate or incomplete, LA Moves reserves the right to adjust the price accordingly.
3. Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply in the following circumstances:
• Extra items are added to the move that were not included in the original quote
• Access conditions are more difficult than described (e.g. multiple flights of stairs, long carry distances, restricted access)
• Waiting time occurs due to delays beyond the control of LA Moves
• Packing or disassembly services are required but were not previously arranged
Where possible, customers will be informed of any additional charges before they are applied.4. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
• Provide accurate and complete information regarding the move
• Ensure that all items are properly packed and ready for transport unless packing services have been booked
• Ensure that suitable parking and access is available for the moving vehicle
• Inform LA Moves of any fragile, high-value, or unusual items prior to the move
Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in delays or additional charges.
5. Items Not Accepted for Transport
LA Moves does not transport hazardous, illegal, or dangerous items. This includes but is not limited to:
• Explosive or flammable materials
• Firearms or weapons
• Illegal substances
• Hazardous chemicals
• Perishable goods that may spoil during transport
The customer is responsible for ensuring such items are not included in the move.
6. Fragile and High-Value Items
Customers must notify LA Moves in advance of any fragile or high-value items.
Certain items may require special handling and may only be transported if agreed in advance. These may include:
• Pianos
• Safes
• Antiques
• Artwork
• Large or unusually heavy appliances
LA Moves reserves the right to decline the transport of certain items if safe handling cannot be guaranteed.7. Liability and Damage
LA Moves will take reasonable care when handling and transporting items.
However, LA Moves shall not be liable for:
• Damage to items packed by the customer
• Pre-existing damage to furniture or property
• Damage caused by inadequate packaging
• Minor cosmetic wear consistent with normal handling
In the event that LA Moves is found to be responsible for damage, liability may be limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement at the company’s discretion.
8. Damage Claims
Any claims for loss or damage must be reported within 24 hours of the completion of the move.
Claims must include:
• A description of the damaged item
• Photographs of the damage
• The move date or invoice number
Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted.
9. Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances
LA Moves shall not be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside of its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
• Traffic conditions
• Weather conditions
• Mechanical issues
• Access restrictions
• Delays caused by third parties
LA Moves will make reasonable efforts to complete the move within the agreed timeframe.10. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers may cancel or request to reschedule their booking by providing notice to LA Moves as soon as possible.
All deposits paid to confirm a booking are non-refundable. The deposit secures the scheduled moving date and time and covers administrative costs and the reservation of staff, vehicles, and operational resources for the booking.
In certain circumstances and at the sole discretion of LA Moves, the company may allow a booking to be rescheduled to an alternative date, subject to availability.
By paying the deposit, the customer acknowledges that the deposit is a non-refundable reservation fee and agrees to these terms.
11. Payment Terms
Payment for services may be made via:
• Bank transfer
• Cash (where agreed)
Full payment is due upon completion of the move unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.
LA Moves reserves the right to suspend services if payment terms are not met.
12. Refusal of Service
LA Moves reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if:
• Working conditions are considered unsafe
• Illegal or prohibited items are present
• The customer fails to comply with agreed payment terms
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.Customer Agreement
By accepting a quotation, confirming a booking, or paying the required deposit, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the LA Moves Terms and Conditions of Service.
Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and forms a binding agreement between the customer and LA Moves for the provision of moving services as described in the quotation or invoice.

The guys were on time, even early, couldn't do enough and even had to dismantle the sofa at the new house to get it through the door.
